London, 20 March 2024 Dale Holdings Limited, the ultimate parent company of Dale Underwriting Partners Syndicate 1729, is pleased to announce the appointments of John Chambers, John Hastings-Bass and Clare Hennings as Independent Non-Executive Directors to the board.

John Chambers, who will serve as Chair of the Group Risk and Underwriting Committee, brings over 30 years’ experience in the Lloyd’s market, including 19 years for AEGIS London, where he served in a number of senior roles, latterly as Director of Underwriting. In addition to his role with Dale, John undertakes consulting work for a small number of institutional clients who invest in the Lloyd’s market and is a Non-Executive Director of the TT Club.

With over 25 years’ experience in the insurance industry, specialising in insurance and investments, Clare Hennings will Chair the Group Investment Committee. Clare most recently worked as the Director of Investments at Prudential (now M&G) and currently serves as an independent advisor for Hiscox and sits on the Hiscox Investment Group Committee.

John Hastings-Bass, Chairman of the Dale Managing Agency Limited (DMAL) Board, and Chairman of the DMAL Board Remuneration and Nomination Committee, both positions he has held since 2022, will also join the Dale Holdings Limited Board.

The new appointments follow Dale’s October announcement of the appointment of Preben Prebensen as independent non-executive Chair of the Dale Holdings Limited board.
