Purpose:
To provide exposure analysis pricing information for underwriting and strategic decision-making with a focus on working with the Energy and Marine XL team.
To support the Exposure Management team in producing roll up positions and in developing the Syndicate’s exposure management capabilities.
The role reports into the Exposure Manager and is pivotal in supporting them and the wider team.
Key tasks:
Coordinate exposure and results data for modelling through Sequel Impact, Touchstone, and ELT management software. Oversee and support outsourcing partners with data cleansing and entry.
Perform day-to-day catastrophe analysis for pricing and reporting in support of the Energy underwriters.
Contribute to Marine exposure management via reporting and ad-hoc requests.
Assist the exposure manager in optimising the modelling workflow and developing flexible and efficient reporting for underwriter and management decision making.
Act as a point of contact for outsourcers, brokers, and software providers for ad hoc queries and data requests.
Ensure that all risks are modelled in a timely and accurate manner.
Stay abreast of exposure management best practice and emerging trends.
Develop an understanding of the risks and controls relevant to EM, operating within the prescribed procedures and guidelines and reporting issues to the line manager.

- to be open and co-operative with the FCA, the PRA and other regulators
Personal Specification
- Good catastrophe model understanding
- Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel
- SQL or equivalent experience
- Ideally Power BI (or similar) software experience
- Accurate and numerate, with strong attention to detail
- Good time management and prioritisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Knowledge of the Lloyd’s insurance market and various lines of business
- Able to work within a collegiate culture and commit to team goals
